While the telecommunications industry has been promising 5G networks for a few years now, they were slow to really get the towers up and running.

5G requires a different kind of network than 4G… which means tons MORE towers than we’ve seen before.

But now, all the major wireless providers are building out their networks in cities across America.

AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile/ Sprint have been racing to deploy not just 5G but 5G that lives up to the standards we are expecting…

Fast, no lagging, etc.

Each of these networks are a key condition for profiting from 5G. To unlock its full potential, people and businesses need access to the network.

So which places have 5G now… which places will have it next… and when will the majority of Americans be able to access these next-generation networks?

Just listing the names of cities doesn’t give you a good enough impression of how much work has been done… or how much is left to go.

That’s why my team put together a comprehensive map of 5G networks, identifying all the places where major carriers either offer 5G or soon will.

With a single glance, you can see which telecommunications companies are leading the 5G race… and how hard they’re working to maintain their advantage.

I’ll admit I was surprised by the number of Americans who already have access to 5G networks.

The map also shows how much work is left to do.

For example, AT&T may look like a leader right now, but much of that 5G isn’t as fast as consumers were promised… so there’s some ways to go for this provider.

Plus, AT&T Business, though leading in many states, is only available to businesses (as the name suggests).

The major telecommunications companies are moving people and equipment into these regions to build the immense infrastructure a 5G network requires.

And we can predict some of the follow-on effects it will have in the area.

For instance, regional construction businesses, local telecommunications firms and related businesses could see a revenue boost from all of that activity.

Local retail chains could also see sales pick up as people in the region rush to upgrade their devices to join the new networks.

Then we’ll follow the money outward to see which national, even global, companies stand to gain the most as 5G goes online in new places.
